MODULE 2400 - DIGITAL NOISE SOURCE

The 2400 Noise Source produces random audio and control signals for use in electronic music. The spectrum control varies the energy distribution of the audio output from white through pink to low filtered noise, by increasing the filtering on the original white noise signal from zero to 6 dB per octave. The slow random output gives a slowly varying control signal , whose energy is maximized in the range from 1 to 10 Hz. Due to the very low frequencies processed by this output, it will not become totally random for several seconds after power is applied.
